Egypt produced 7.62x39mm RPD light machine guns during the 1950s and 1960s, patterned after Soviet RPDs. A number of RPD parts kits were imported into the United States where can be still be purchased and turned into NFA Post-Samples or semi-automatic variants with U.S. produced receivers.
