In this episode, we are joined by Adham, Ataka, Dragovich, Vladimir, MENA, Daniel, Calibre Obscura and Mick.

(00:50) Calibre, Adham, MENA and Vladimir discuss the proliferation of 5.45 x 39mm ammunition and weaponry in the hands of jihadists in Syria such as HTS, PKK in Iraq and some SAA combat units such as the formerly Tiger Forces (renamed 25th Division Special Mission Forces).

Adham brought up images of two Russian Irregulars reported to be stationed at Khan Sheykhoun (images dated early September) and Vladimir explained the difference in loadout kit and small arms customization between Russian regular infantry, special forces, mercenaries and “irregulars”.

(08:15) Vladimir also discusses the interesting Buttstock seen on this AK74M self-loading rifle in the picture posted by Calibre as it appears not to be Russian or Bulgarian and remains to be identified.

Many more subtopics related to the calibre and its firearms have been discussed. For example, MENA asked why 7.62 x 39 remains used by standing Arab militaries when the 5.45 has other features that the Arab soldier could definitely benefit from. Vladimir and Ataka provided interesting viewpoints.

(50:00) Ataka had run a simulation for Saudi Air Defenses and its capability to intercept incoming drones and ballistic projectiles. The results of his simulation run were stunning. Saudi air defenses failed to destroy most of the threats and most of its airspace remained vulnerable.

The missiles and drones were launched from Iraq! Unlike the very initial reports that claimed it was launched by the Houthis from Yemen. Ataka also explained why he considered it impossible or near impossible for such an attack with such accuracy and at such distance to be carried out by the Houthis. Noteworthy to mention that at least one video was released online showing what appears UAVs and/or missiles flying Kuwaiti borders.

The conclusion of the discussion on the attack was that it was probably done by Iraqi PMU aligned group(s) with orders coming from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, AKA Tehran.

The images show the aftermath of the pinpoint accuracy and deadly attacks on Saudi’s oil refineries and silos. Such accuracy shows that high-level technology was likely used.
